UPDATE 059 – The Morning Greeting For Saturday, January 30th, 2021

2021-01-30-SAT @ 8:29 AM CST – 10:27 AM CST – – – Good morning readers! Today I’m starting up a new monologue in my social networking routine. It is simply called The Morning Greeting! By: David Thrift (that’s me ya’ll). I am at my kitchen counter desktop this a.m. where I had intended to get my taxes done online, I don’t know that I’m going to get that done today. I need to, but I’m pressed for time with all the writing I need to get done for my morning online check-in. Here’s a few things I have to share with you this morning.

1st UP – X1 Nano Review – ThinkPad’s answer to the Air? – From Mash IT – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC2IDlWRrRgMAe9fRc4juEA – – – Here’s a video for a super cool and very thin & light 13″ Lenovo Thinkpad laptop. If you don’t know it, I’m a slight bit technology geek, and I love watching technology progress into the super thin and light computing machines that are getting slimmer and lighter every month. Well this laptop is insanely small, but for someone who really needs a thin and light machine for travel & on the go, or just to go chill out at the coffee shop… this might fit the bill. Bear in mind though that it is pretty expensive (aren’t they all!). Check out the video review at – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC2IDlWRrRgMAe9fRc4juEA

2nd UP – Just a quick and simple productivity tip I personally use: In Notepad on your pc, create a text file called Official Scratchpad (or whatever you want to call it – that’s what I call mine). Use that file to do your writing for your social media posts, newsletters, and blog posts. You can create templates in it that allow you to build a matching format for all of your platforms that you use daily. For example, I like to place timestamps at the beginning of my updates. It’s intended more for my own personal use than for my reader’s, because I like to see when I wrote and posted information. With that written into my template, all I have to do is edit it – and it’s so easy and quick. It’s more convenient to have a template to customize with each of your posts, than it is to write new posts from scratch (that’s why I call my text file “Official Scratchpad).

3rd UP – I want to share some Etsy shops with you. I’m a huge fan of Etsy… ok, not so much Etsy itself, but the people who use it to sell their handmade products. (Fun Fact: I used to run an Etsy shop called The Hat Pit. It was where I sold my hand-knit beanies. I discovered however that promoting other businesses on Etsy through my blogging was more fun to me. That was how I got started as a business promoter and business directory owner). I only promote Etsy shops that are operated in the United States, so if you love supporting American businesses, then check these out.
